MK☆ Who is this MK☆ guy, you might ask. Well, let’s tell you.

This MK☆ guy is a Dutch deejay who is specialized in Japanese club music. One of the only deejays in Europe who plays the fairly unknown music style of eurobeat, but isn’t just limited to only that.

Okay, since I’m writing this myself (hey, someone’s got to do this), I’ll continue writing about me. I’m a fan of all kinds of electronic dance music, ranging from lounge to happy hardcore. And that’s also what I love to let the crowd go wild to.

Favorite styles of music are house, dance and eurobeat. I’ve been growing up with the eurodance hype during my younger years, and that never faded away. Early 2000′s I came in touch with Japanese music, pop at first. Loving this, I found out club music a little while later, and thanks to the video game Dance Dance Revolution I found out about eurobeat. These upbeat energetic songs stuck to me, and probably will until the end of time.

Not a lot later more Japanese club styles were added, especially Japanese trance (which sadly died to me in 2008), Japanese house and other Japanese styles. What’s so cool about the Japanese way of making music, is that it’s a lot more melodic, energetic and happy. Because it’s so cool, I started Deshima Sounds in 2008 with Neodash Zerox.

Deshima Sounds is our own concept in which we emulate a Japanese club in the Netherlands (or any other country for that matter). As a tribute to the great Tokyo club called Velfarre, we try to copy everything; from music to atmosphere. Even though the scene is rather small, it won’t stop us to let the world hear all the cool songs coming from the Land of the Rising Sun.

That’s all about me in a nutshell. If you want to know more, hear some mixes or even book me, let me know. You can contact me using various channels, listed on the contact page.

Keep on partying,

MK☆
